Given the steady and rapid growth of the sport of freestyle motocross, the opportunities for media and audience exposure continue to grow month by month and sometimes minute by minute.
Some top profile riders eschew all but the biggest of events, I elect to fill the time between national and world competitions with countless appearances at venues ranging from CART auto races to major music festivals and shows. My schedule includes stops from coast to coast and on several continents, earning the nickname, "Trevor from Wherever."
The steady exposure to the spotlight has resulted in unprecedented motorcycle industry support. My program has included full factory backing from the Yamaha Motor Corporation, the first manufacturer involvement ever in the still burgeoning sport of freestyle. I am also supported by some of the industrys leading companies, including Thor, Z1R Helmets, Smith Goggles, Alpinestars, Pro Circuit, Dunlop, Ogio, Renthal and many more.
More importantly, my constant appearance schedule has produced almost equally unprecedented mainstream media attention. I have been the subject of feature stories in newsstand staples ranging from Maxim to ESPN Magazine, and my "TV-time" abilities on and off the bike with NBC, ESPN, and Fox recently culminated in announcing duties at the Summer and Winter X-Games. I have appeared in an IMAX movie, had a cameo appearance on Disney's Kim Possible and was the stunt double for Cameron Diaz and Crispen Glover in Charlie's Angles - Full Throttle.
Innovative companies like Pepsi-owned Sobe Beverages and Jnco Clothing have been even quicker than the motorcycle industry in embracing the marketing advantages offered by freestyle motocross; a marketing vehicle that features a single rider and his attendant signage and sponsorship -- while drawing the highly desirable audience demographic that those marketers attempt to attract.
I have endorsed products that run the gamut from toys to T-shirts, including three different games on the market with game player giants THQ, Knombi, and Midway. I released my own instructional video with Racer Productions and was selected for a layout in the Superstars of Moto calendar that combines the best of FMX with Roadrace and Supercross.
I've appeared in front of over 10 million viewers and spectators in over 60 different cities in a single year. My riding appearances include demos at the World Super bike Race at Laguna Seca and the Indianapolis 500, The Ice Village at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, along with the ever popular X-Games and Gravity Games contests. I even got the opportunity to perform at DisneyLand! Recently FMX was a feature on Live Nation's Monster Jam Tour and I won 11 of the events, some in sold out stadiums of over 70,000 spectators. My mass media exposure has continued to grow yearly. To see the phenomena of freestyle in person, check the schedule link for a date near you.
Despite the breadth of my support package, banner space in one form or another is always available. The varied facets of my program provide many marketing opportunities to reach the fastest growing spectator market in either motor sports or action sports as a whole.
